In education Kit looks to inspire his students with both his own artistic and musical direction as well as inviting them to be involved with the great local music scene. His students experience a full rounded instruction of both practical music alongside theoretical and historical knowledge. He supports his students with up to date pedagogy taught to him at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music where he is currently undertaking a Master of Music.

Kit teaches in a way that integrates his students interests and passions providing an engaging learning experience. He strives to use many different educational techniques such as: Eurythmics the European tradition of musical education through movement. He also uses technology providing opportunities for students to play with backing tracks, drum beats and game applications. All these tools interact with each other providing the best educational experience.

Kit can teach students on any Brass Instrument (Trumpet, Cornet, French Horn, Tenor Horn, Baritone Horn, Euphonium, Trombone and Tuba), he specialises in teaching Trombone and Euphonium. He teaches students from beginner all the way up to VCE level and is available for private lessons, audition preparation and ensemble coaching.  He currently holds Low Brass teaching positions at Emmanuel College and Bialik College.

Beginning Students

Kit teaches beginning students from as young as 7.

He currently charges $30 for 30 minute lessons and $60 for 1 hour lessons. 

30 minute lessons are recommended for beginning students. Instruments hire and purchase options are available at an affordable price for beginning students.

Young students

Kit takes on students who have already begun learning and helps push them to the next level. 

He currently charges $30 for 30 minute lessons and $60 for 1 hour lessons. 

One hour lessons are recommended for students further in to their educational experience.

Adult students

Kit is not limited to teaching young students, he is pleased to teach adult students returning or new to their instrument. 

He currently charges $30 for 30 minute lessons and $60 for 1 hour lessons. 

Adult students may choose how often they want lessons and what length, however 30 minutes to 1 hour is recommended.
